How have you used digital technology to complete your production work?
For our group's thriller we used a range of digital technologies including...
The I Macs and the programs on it
The Canon DSLR 650d Cameras
The Flip Camera

The Apple I Macs were useful as they contained programs such as 'Final Cut Pro' and 'Windows Movie Maker'. Windows Movie Maker was used to capture footage for processes such as podcasts before the thriller, in which we discussed strategies of how to conduct and the planning of the thriller narrative. Final Cut Pro was helpful in the post production phase of filming our thriller as it allowed us to edit and comprise all the footage we had captured in the production process from the Canon DSLR. Using Final Cut Pro we could enhance sound and stabilise shots by editing the focus in order to produce a clearer, more professional finished product.

The Canon DSLR camera was used primarily for the filming of the thriller but we became accustomed to them through our preliminary task. In the preliminary assignment we were introduced to the Canon's, we experimented with them during the short period of time we were given to produce our task.
Flip Camera's were used before the production of our thriller to film interviews with audiences as a means of audience research before conducting our thriller. They were useful to film interviews and quick projects as they are portable and content could simply be inserted via the usb, however they weren't suitable for our preliminary or thriller final pieces as the film quality was limited and not as clear or professional looking as other pieces of tech such as the Canon.
