Spectre Marketing Campaign

Spectre - Marketing Campaign

Poster

The movie poster for Spectre is bold and clear. It features the two main characters that the movie is based around as they are placed towards the centre of the image. Bond (Daniel Craig) is dressed sharply as expected and is accompanied by a beautifully dressed bond girl (Lea Seydoux).
The imagery is shrouded in an occurring Bond colour scheme of dark greys, black and light blue.
The title is in gold which stands out against the black backdrop and gives an element of class and riches.

Trailers

Trailers are a great way to make the audience aware of a film even a short minute or so clip can be enough to draw in the lion's share of a productions customers. Trailers are featured between programmes and at ad breaks. Trailers have benefits which include the exposure to millions through a simple clip shown on tv yet they also can have drawbacks such as the extensive amount it costs to get your trailer on air, this is not such a big problem for blockbuster films because they tend to have a big budget and expect a huge return on their investment at the box office.
TV Spots

Daniel Craig was on the Graham Norton show promoting Spectre, this is a common advertising stratergy amongst blockbuster films, the main actors or members of the cast tend to be scheduled for tv spots with the top talk show hosts for example in the UK these tend to consist of Graham Norton, Alan Carr and Jonathan Ross. Spectre is to be his last film of the Bond franchise and also director Sam Mendes' last production.

Internet

The movie is rated rated 7.3 on IMDb which can either promote the movie well or not, it is a form of review. 7.3 is a decent rating but it probably won't get browsers jumping out their seats to see the movie.

Cast

The cast includes a wide array of well-established actors and actresses. The high-profile actors are important for the big hitters at the box office because they can draw in a huge amount of the audience as they already have a huge following and fan base, for example Daniel Craig has a big following including many Bond fans from his previous films.

One of the most interesting factors is the recent rise of Austrian actor Christoph Waltz, in t he last ten years he's one two oscars in the supporting role and he was one of the main reasons why i wanted to see Spectre, after seeing him star in Green Hornet, Big Eyes, Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained.

Review

As of yet the movie has a 63% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, 7.3 on IMDb, 5/5 by the Guardian.
