Immediately what comes to mind when talking of marketing of this movie is the stellar cast. The cast is pivotal in exposure for the film as it is a British independent and this means that minimal money is to go on advertising therefore a huge percentage of interest from customers will come from the fans of the stars in the movie.

The cast includes Meryl Streep who has been nominated for 19 academy awards. Although she only has a small part in the actual film, her presence i the film raises a huge influx of interest, especially from those who are aware of her work.

Notably as part of the marketing campaign for the 2015 drama, cast members including Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep and Romola Garai were involved in a photo shoot promoting controversial t-shirts, sporting the words 'id rather be a rebel than a slave.'
